AKA Fish Show Registration
• Show fish can be registered online using the AKA Show entry form, or you may register them at the convention on Thursday and Friday.
• Show entries may be mailed to the 2025 Convention

Please plan on having your fish arrive on either Wednesday, June 11, Thursday, June 12, or Friday, June 13, 2025 by 6:00 PM.
• Entry/registration will be managed by the AKA Show and Convention Committee
• Benching of the fish will start on Thursday, June noon. All fish must be benched by Friday, June 13 at 10:00 PM
• Please label each bag neatly and clearly and please print the following information;

Genus/Species/Location

Any special water parameters (Please note; care will be made to meet the water parameters)
• The Showroom will be open to the public only after the judging has been completed on Saturday morning. Only designated judges are allowed into the showroom on Saturday morning till the completion of judging. Those wishing to become Certified Judges should see Art Leuterman before judging to make arrangements for taking the certification tests.
• By entering fish into the LONE STAR CARES CONVENTION Fish Shows or bringing fish to the Convention for sale, you are certifying that these fish have been obtained, imported, or bred within the parameters of the United States and Texas laws. Members are encouraged to review the Lacey Act, the Endangered Species Act (ESA), and other relevant legislation before displaying or distributing wildlife. The Convention host organizations, including the American Killifish Association, The American Livebearer Association, and IBC will not accept any fish prohibited by the U.S. Endangered Species Act (ESA) or in violation of applicable laws in our shows.
• Appendix III: Prohibited killifish species with regard to endangered species, as an organization dedicated to the conservation of killifish, the AKA will follow the intent of CITES regulations and the U.S. Endangered Species Act (ESA). No killifish species are presently listed by CITES. There are, however, numerous species listed at the national level by the ESA as endangered or threatened and which constitute prohibited species in the context of AKA programs. These species are as follows:
